obs_controller (the "Software") is provided by Steven B. Pence, doing business as Hoversights ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing, downloading, or using the Software, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. The Software

obs_controller is a desktop application that connects to a separately installed, independent copy of OBS Studio over its WebSocket server, to provide a staged Preview/Program switching workflow. obs_controller does not include, modify, or redistribute OBS Studio itself.

2. License grant

Subject to payment and these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software for your own production, streaming, and recording purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer for competitive purposes, or redistribute the Software.

3. Orders, billing & our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com Market Ltd, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to your order and handles returns in accordance with our Refund Policy. Paddle is authorized to collect and remit sales tax, VAT, and similar taxes on our behalf where applicable.

4. Trials

Where offered, a free trial period gives full access to the Software's features for a limited time. No payment is required to start a trial; if a subscription is not cancelled before the trial ends, billing begins automatically at the then-current price.

5. Third-party services (bring-your-own-key features)

Certain optional features (for example, AI-generated media) require you to supply your own API credentials for a third-party provider (such as Hugging Face). Your use of those credentials, and any content generated through them, is governed by that provider's own terms — we do not see, store, or transmit your credentials anywhere other than directly to the provider you configure.

6. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is." We do not guarantee compatibility with every OBS Studio version, operating system, or hardware configuration, and we are not responsible for outages, data loss, or broadcast issues arising from your use of OBS Studio, your network, or third-party services the Software connects to.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
